“The Elephants in the Room”: UN challenges we can’t avoid, remarks by Minh-Thu Pham at the 70th anniversary commemoration of the admission of 16 member states to the United Nations

On December 11, 2025, Starling Institute CEO Minh-Thu Pham addressed the 70th Anniversary celebration of 16 Member States joining the United Nations at the invitation of the ambassadors representing those member states. The event, “70 Years of Partnership: Championing Multilateralism for a Shared and Sustainable Future,” took place in the Economic and Social Council Chamber at UN Headquarters in New York City.
